This is, I think, one of the most revealing photo posts that I have made this year on Facebook. I thought I should share it again here.
What on Earth is going on out there in the heart of our vast Western Australia desert that emits so many times more light pollution at night than all of our coastal State capital cities combined?
Well, I guess it must be 24hour mining activity (there’s nothing else out there), but doesn’t that just give a classic indication of the amount of havoc that we must be inflicting on our environment 24 hours a day?
Fascinating, but also very disturbing.
The photo is a still taken from this interesting video from #DSCOVR https://www.facebook.com/climatereality/videos/915356378531007/
